Elsewhere, a far less brutal but much more technical event, with origins in the spectacle known as professional wrestling thrives in the Eastern nation of Japan.

For two years the league has lived in obscurity to the rest of the world and has faced unfortunate bankruptcy. The founder, Dr.Yosuke Morimoto Ed.D.'s failure to properly run a business has led to Yakuza involvement, corruption, and fight fixing. Pancrase has lost its integrity and innocence but one man, a rich banker from Zambia with an addiction to violence and extensive krav maga knowledge, believes he can put the elegance back into the Pancrase league. After buying 51 % of shares in the company, Fishman has used his absolute control to bring Pancrase onto a more international stage. "No longer will protectionism of Japanese fighters stop our league from growing.", says Fishman. "I have personally sought out the greatest international stars to put on display right here to challenge the Japanese." "Dr.Morimoto will be kept on as an advisor,figurehead as well as fighter and trainer."
